2014 PWAP Historic Home Tour

“Places With A Past” Celebrates 25 years
Twenty-five years ago, the Las Vegas Citizens’ Committee for Historic Preservation organized its first “ Public Historic House Tour”. Six venues were on the tour, including the Vicente Silva House on Moreno, the Benigno Romero House on Hot Springs and the J. E. Hurley House on Sixth Street. As stated in the 1990 brochure: The story of early Las Vegas is told not only in architectural styling and details, but also in the locations of these houses, their date of construction and in the stories of the people who built them.
